Indiantown High School (IHS) is a new 61,700-square-foot public charter high school in an underserved region of Martin County, Florida. The project, funded by the state of Florida, Martin County, the IRSC Foundation, and private donors, aims to provide career and technical education, allowing students to be dually enrolled at IRSC and earn an associate degree before graduating high school.
The facility features advanced learning spaces, including classrooms, computer labs, science labs, and specialized labs for health science, welding, automotive, and construction technologies, along with outdoor sports facilities and a “collaboratorium” with a kitchen and cafeteria. IHS offers certifications in fields such as medical science, emerging technology, mechanical technology, construction technology, and environmental technology. By integrating high school curriculum with college courses and vocational training, the school addresses the community’s need for accessible education, providing a local option for students who previously had to travel long distances. With a cap of 400 students, IHS offers a small, community-focused learning environment, that is setting a new standard for education in the region.
