Type of Project Tilt Up Concrete
About the Project
The modernization of Elbert Elementary School transformed an aging campus originally built in 1962 into a modern learning environment designed to support Polk County’s growing student population. The project included the demolition of nearly the entire existing school and the construction of a state-of-the-art replacement facility, funded through impact fees and a half-cent sales tax referendum.
Built using tilt-up concrete construction, the new campus expands capacity from approximately 625 to 1,602 students while providing modern classrooms, labs, and student support spaces. Designed for durability and long-term performance, the facility will serve students, educators, and the community for years to come.
